Downtown Establishments Ready for Celebration
 Downtown Erie bars and restaurants are gearing up for a busy holiday celebration.
For many, St. Patrick's Day is one of their busiest days of the year.
For many bars and restaurants, the St. Patrick's Day celebration actually begins Friday night.
The annual St. Patrick's Day parade is set for this Saturday afternoon.
And, next Wednesday is St. Patrick's day. So between those two days, bars and restaurants say they expect to have some big business.
Downtown bars like Sullivan's, say hundreds of people will walk through their doors within the next several days.
And management at Molly Brannigan's are making sure they have plenty of bartenders, and service staff on-hand for the expected crowds.
And, between Saturday's parade, a pub crawl Friday night, and St. Patrick's day itself, there will be plenty of them.
"It's obviously very lucrative for us. It starts tonight with the pub crawl, and obviously parade day. We'll take a little breather on Sunday we have Irish dancers come in, and Irish entertainment, an Irish buffet. And then Monday we'll take a deep breath and start setting up again Tuesday for St. Patrick's Day itself." Said Eric Humphreys, with Molly Brannigan's
"It's such a busy day and it's such a busy week I have to call in every friend I have, every family member I have to come in and help. I can't do this by myself because it's so busy we have so much going on." Said Theresa Stachewicz, Manager at Sullivan's.
Meantime, with all the celebration downtown establishments want you to have fun, but be responsible.
