Perhaps you’ve noticed that some people seems to be able to eat anything they want without gaining any weight, while others pack on the pounds from just looking at a piece of bread. Maybe you’ve noticed that some people in the gym have a lot of weight loss success while others who work just as hard never seem to be able to reach their weight loss goals. The reason this happens has nothing to do with desire or want, and everything to do with their individual body type.
There are three body types that, in many ways, determine how we look and how we will experience weight loss. The body types are Ectomorphs, Endomorphs and Mesomorph.
Ectomorphs are people who tend to be tall and slender. These are the people who rarely gain weight regardless of how they eat. The problem ectomorphs experience is that they usually have a difficult time building muscles and increasing strength and endurance. If you are an ectomorph you need to focus on strength training.
Endomorphs are the people who tend to have a lot of trouble controlling their weight. These are the people who often have a lot of trouble shedding the extra weight, particularly around the waist. If you are an endomorph you need to watch your diet very carefully and you also need to exercise everyday. Consider doing activities such as walking, jogging and biking everyday.
Mesomorphs are the strong, muscular people who have a strong endurance best described as athletic. Mesomorphs tend to be people who gain muscle mass very easily. Mesomorphs need to be a little careful about their diet and to watch their intake of fatty foods. When it comes to exercises, mesomorphs should focus on flexibility training.
Knowing your body type should help you as you determine how you should be eating and what exercise course you should set for yourself. Now no one is excused from eating a health diet or from exercise, but by knowing your body type, you should be able to better use your time and effort for the maximum result.
